One of my co-workers, Nataleigh, was nice enough to share these tattoos for the blog. She got them done at Sunkissed Salon in Petoskey, Michigan. She says that the initials by the butterfly are her Mom's. I think my favorite is the compass. Thank you, Nataleigh!

My Basket of Forget-Me-Nots Tattoo
I've actually had this one since June 15th, just haven't posted it until now. It was done by Erik at Lakeview Tattoo who also did all of my other ones. I'm extremely happy with it and love how it turned out. I believe he said this was the first basket he had done! I think Erik has done a fantastic job with all of my tattoos!
Dona's Tattoo
Sometimes you find an interesting tattoo in the most unexpected places. And I don't mean places on the body, either. I was visiting my Dad at a nursing home last week, and no, he doesn't live there even though he's 91, he actually volunteers there. As we were having lunch, one of the residents was admiring my tattoos and then said, "I have one, too, and I made it myself!" As it turned out, she did this tattoo on her own leg back in 1970. She said that she had also done her husband's entire back as well as tattoos on several motorcycle guys. And not only that, it is a hand poked tattoo, she did not have the luxury of using an electric tattoo machine. I think it has held up fairly well for being over 30 years old, although Dona did say the inside of the flower petals had been colored red which is no longer there.
So, I asked her if she would mind if I took a picture of her tattoo and put it on my blog and she said that would be fine! So, there it is!

Jessie's New Tattoo
This is my daughter Jessie's new tattoo. It was made from her own artwork by Erik, the same tattoo artist who did my own tattoos and my son-in-law's. I think Jessie did a lovely job with the drawing and Erik did a great job turning it into a tattoo! Jessie, you make your Mom proud!

Cynthia's Beauty Symbol and Brian's Infinity Tattoo
This is my co-worker Cynthia's Chinese symbol that means "Beauty." Her reason for getting it was because of being told she was not pretty as she was growing up, but now she knows better and feels beautiful! Good for you, Cynthia! The artist who did her tattoo is Erik, at Lakeview Tattoo. And now a tattoo belonging to another one of my co-workers:
This infinity symbol is on Brian's arm, it also represents his lucky number which is 8. It was done by Angel at Sunkissed Salon. Thank you, Cynthia and Brian for letting me include your tattoos on this blog!

Jessie's Tattoo, Joe's Tattoo
The first tattoo on this blog is my daughter Jessie's. She drew the design herself and asked the artist to tattoo it on. It's a bit faded now, but she plans to have it redone soon. This tattoo was done by Pam Mish at Body Art Boutique
This tattoo belongs to my son-in-law Joe, Jessie's husband. No special meaning, just a design that he really liked. It was done by Erik Stevenson at Lakeview Tattoo.
